Match Report: Dominant 8-0 Win

Steer FC delivered their most commanding performance of the season with an emphatic 8-0 victory. Here's how it unfolded.

Steer FC produced a performance that will live long in the memory with a stunning 8-0 victory in the Katy Cup — their biggest win of the season and a statement of intent to the rest of the division. First Half Steer FC were in complete control from the opening whistle. David Alawoe set the tone early with a precise through-ball that released Marcus Akusa-Am in behind, and the striker made no mistake with a composed finish. The lead was doubled before the quarter-hour mark when Daniel Ejerenwa cut inside from the right and curled a shot into the far corner. The tempo never dropped. Captain Marcus Garvey added a third with a powerful header from a well-delivered corner, and Roberto Morales made it four before halftime with a clinical strike from the edge of the box. It was 4-0 at the break, but it felt like it could have been more. Second Half If anything, Steer FC were even more impressive after the interval. Sylvester Boateng came on and made an immediate impact with a driving run and low cross that Garvey tapped in for his second of the evening. Nesta Burningspear powered into the box to make it six, and late goals from Alawoe and Jayden Kodia rounded off a sensational team display. Goalkeeper Mohammed Khalid was barely tested but was commanding when called upon, commanding his area with authority throughout. Coach Prince Djan: "I'm incredibly proud of the team today. That was complete football — goals all over the pitch, a clean sheet, and a performance full of intensity and quality. We stay humble and prepare for the next one." Next up for Steer FC is a Katy Cup fixture that will be confirmed shortly. Stay tuned for updates.
